MCCOY'S
PHILOSOPHY
WE BELIEVE THAT
TRANS RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS.
The Haus of McCoy is a community hub for queer and trans youth of Lawrence, KS. The need for community is now more important than ever. We strive to build a community that allows queer and trans youth to thrive, where they can be themselves, explore their passions, and be seen and valued for all that they are.
We value a no-strings-attached giving model — giving that is immediate and agile to meet the ever-evolving needs of our most marginalized populations.
The Haus of McCoy seeks to provide a safer space for queer and trans youth to be in community and learn with one another and supportive adults.
Safety is one of our top priorities.
While all queer and trans folks are welcome, our organization holds Black trans poor disabled women
and youth at the center.
